How to play the word search on Kioskadia

Find a word from the list in the grid, then drag from its first letter to its last — with your mouse or your finger. The word gets circled in color and crossed off the list. The direction of your drag doesn't matter: only the two ends count.

Once the list is done, the letters you haven't used, read left to right and top to bottom, spell the mystery word. Your grid and timer are saved in your browser; there is no hint button, so every finished grid counts on the leaderboard.

A new word search every day

Kioskadia publishes a free word search puzzle every morning, at level 1 to 3, and keeps it in the archive afterwards. The same nickname follows you across the site, and the weekly leaderboard adds up every puzzle you finish.

The level is the number of directions words can hide in: easy word searches, level 1 (across and down), level 2 (diagonals too) and hard grids (all eight directions, backwards included).

Are the word search puzzles on Kioskadia free?

Yes, entirely: every puzzle plays online with no sign-up, no account and no payment, on desktop and mobile alike.

When does the daily puzzle come out?

Every morning, early (Central European Time). It appears right on this page; earlier puzzles stay in the archive.

What is the mystery word?

Once every listed word is circled, the letters you haven't used, read left to right and top to bottom, spell one last word. That's what finishes the puzzle.

What does the level of a puzzle mean?

The number of directions words can run in: level 1, across and down only; level 2, diagonals too; level 3, all eight directions, backwards included. The words themselves are no rarer.

Is my progress saved?

Yes. Found words and the timer are saved in your browser; with a Kioskadia account (a link sent by email, no password), they follow you from one device to the next.
